Plympton Guildhall Update - Kitchen Refurbishment
Friends of the Guildhall (FROGs) are pleased to announce the completion of a major overhaul of the existing kitchen in the Plympton Guildhall. Although FROGs are focused on the major funding drive to deliver the large-scale remediation for the Guildhall it was decided that an update of the kitchen would make it more attractive to potential users of the building for the short term. With the agreement of Plymouth City Council, FROGs looked for a way to pursue this opportunity to improve the Guildhall.

The new kitchen starting its acceptance test
The opportunity started to became a reality when Mayflower Kitchens generously offered to provide the kitchen cabinets. This theme of generosity extended to other offers of support the purchase of the range cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer and fittings.
The added support of Wolferstans Solicitors, Howdens Joinery Co, Andy Cooper and KB Services variously donating cash, equipment and services provided the wherewithal to allow our intrepid installers, Andy Cooper and Keith Brooker to take on, manage and complete the ripping out in three days and the subsequent installation in three long days.
The kitchen was ready to support the Civic Association Christmas Buffet on Sunday 10th December.
